Flashback Friday: Once a Shoulder Kitty, Always a Shoulder Kitty

Since the day we adopted Delilah back in January 2012, she has been a shoulder kitty. For the first few months of her life, she slept across my chest or curled up between my neck and shoulder. Every night. When snuggling with her daddy, her favorite spot was his shoulder.

To this day, she still loves her shoulders. She will sometimes even jump from the kitchen counter onto our shoulders. Like yesterday, when I was doing the dishes. She leapt up and hung out there for a good 20 minutes before I had to put her down.

No matter her size, Deli will always be a shoulder kitty through and through. I hope that never changes.

I used to sleep on my human’s head or shoulder… but I don’t anymore. She is bummed about that.

Delilah doesn’t look like a big cat now, but my, she was a wee little thing. And she certainly looks comfy on your shoulders.
