Delilah: We are all such blessed kitties because we have so much to be grateful for.
Sampson: We sure are! We have a mommy and a daddy who love us very, very much.
Sophie: We have each other!
Sassy: We get three yummy meals every day.
Caster: And we have a warm and comfortable home.
Delilah: We are all grateful for these things, but we each have our own particular things we are grateful for too.
Sampson: We thought our furiends might enjoy reading about a few of our favorite things…
Sophie: Just a few? But I love everything!!!
Sassy: *rolls eyes*
Caster: I can think of four things that I’m grateful for…
Delilah: Okay, okay… I’ll start!

I am grateful for the patience and love of my brofurs, sisfurs, and Mom and Dad. You see, I was Mom and Dad’s first kitty, and it was just the three of us for a while until Sampson joined us. He and I became fast friends, but it has taken me a long time to accept the others. I’ve never been quite sure if I liked them. I always felt they were intruding and getting in the way of things. During group play time, I would always keep to myself, and I never liked it when Sophie or Caster would get too close to me. But lately, I’ve realized that they aren’t really so bad! I’ve been cuddling with Sophie, I’ve been playing fun games of chase with Caster, and I’ve even been participating in group play time! It’s been so wonderful. So thank you, Sophie and Caster for being patient with me while I took my time (1+ years) deciding if I liked you…
Sampson
I am grateful for Mommy! And Mommy’s neck. Don’t get me wrong, I love Daddy lots too, but Mommy and I are especially close. When she’s home, I am right there with her always. I don’t let her out of my sight. I don’t even let her go to the bathroom without me! She likes it that way too. Oh, and her neck — it’s the best neck for suckling!!! In the morning, as soon as she opens her eyes, I move up the bed to get to her neck for my morning suckles. Then when she is getting dressed for work, I like to jump from the floor onto her back, wrapping wrap my arms around her neck to get some good suckles in. She usually only lets me suckle for a few seconds at a time because she says it tickles, but I am so grateful for those few seconds!!!
Sophie
I am grateful for Daddy, Daddy’s face stubble in the mornings, and STICK!!! Like Sampy and Mommy, Daddy and I have a special bond. He calls me Daddy’s Little Girl. One of my favorite things about Daddy is his chin and stubble. I love to rub my face all over his stubbly face in the morning, and I also like to bite his chin. It’s just the best thing ever. Besides STICK!!! Stick is my wand toy. It’s a broken wand toy that is nothing but the wand and the string – no attachment. I am obsessed with it and will run around the house chirping, trying to get Mom or Dad’s attention so that they will play Stick with me. If they don’t listen, I will perform my special moves – like climbing up the back of the couch or jumping from the arm of the couch onto the floor. These moves took a lot of practice (I’m wobbly, remember?), but they are pretty effective at getting Mom and Dad’s attention, so they are worth the extra effort.
Sassy
I am grateful to have my own territory upstairs and to not have to put up with the other 4 crazies in this house! Aren’t they annoying?! I have three rooms all to myself, and lots of Cat TVs (windows) to watch. I have my very own scratching post, my very own litter box, my very own toys, and my very own bed. I don’t have to share anything! Except Mom and Dad, of course. It is wonderful – my own little slice of heaven π Mom and Dad keep telling me that they think I would enjoy playing with the other kitties, but I’m just not so sure about that. I like things just the way they are!
Caster
As I said before…. I can think of 4 things that I’m grateful four. Delilah, Sampson, Sophie, and Sassy! They are the best toys a cat could ever want. I can wrestle them, bite them, whap them, anything! And it’s always so much fun!! Now Sassy I don’t actually get to see, but I can body slam her door and try really hard to get into her room. I’m always up for a good challenge. Oh, and one more thing — fleecy blankets. Nothing beats a good fleecy blanket. Like Sampson, I like to suckle. But not Mom’s neck. Only fleecy blankets.
So… what are YOU grateful for?

Wait. You get three meals a day? Oh my. I better not tell Amelia that or she will begin to throw her spinach snack at me! Your family dynamic is so fun… You’re kind of like The Breakfast Club: the wise, shy one, the momma’s boy, the daddy’s girl, the loner, and the wrestler! π Thank you for sharing your gratitude and for co-hosting the hop!

We’re grateful for the love of family and friends. Thank you for your purrs and prayers for Moosey, and for posting the lovely badge that Miss Ann created for us. Moosey had his first insulin shot this morning, and the vets (he’s staying there all day) say he’s doing fine so far.
Hugs!

We will link up for a Thanksgiving Day post. We loved hearing each kitties’ list of things for which they are thankful. Astrid sat on Mom’s lap and looked at Sampy’s photos. We are all super grateful today ’cause we got a new mini cat tower for the kitchen, and we all love it. Even kitties who never used the original cat tower, which has been moved to the stair landing, are enjoying it. It helped that Mom put some of our homegrown catnip on it. If we are not in touch before Thursday, have a happy Thanksgiving. Sending all our love. Astrid is sending catnip flavored kisses to her Sampy. Lots of thankfulness in your house.
I had a kitty similar to Sampson who eagerly awaited my arrival home from work every day so he could lay on me and nuzzle into my neck & hair. Oh, the drool…..I actually miss it.
You are all very fortunate to have so much to be thankful for.
